The Shire of Coolgardie proudly celebrated our local volunteers at the “Thank a Volunteer” Breakfast on Monday, 25 May 2026 at the Kambalda Community Recreation Facility.

On Thursday 21st May, the community proudly came together for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea to raise funds for Cancer Council and those impacted by cancer.

On Friday, March 6th, the Kambalda Community Recreational Facility hosted a heartfelt celebration for International Women’s Day, bringing together the women of our community and the men who support them. On Thursday, 26 February 2026, the Kambalda Community Recreation Facility came alive with colour and creativity as the Shire of Coolgardie hosted a hands‑on craft workshop.

Congratulations to the Shire's Waste Manager, Pergy Matsika on not only five years Service with the Shire but also for recently graduating from Curtin University with her Masters in Professional Engineering with a Bachelors in Environmental Engineering.

More than 130 seniors from the Shire of Coolgardie and the Shire of Dundas came together yesterday to welcome the festive season at the annual Seniors Christmas Luncheon. The event delivered a true Country Christmas atmosphere, complete with great company, delicious food, and outstanding local entertainment.

On Saturday, 15th November, the Shire and Sikh community celebrated a significant milestone with the unveiling of the Sikh Plaque at Tommy Talbot Park.
