The Coolgardie Community Recreation Centre welcomed Activities Organiser, Lulu from Bunnings Kalgoorlie back this month with a hands-on activity for all ages.

Residents gathered to take part in a mat decorating workshop, transforming plain doormats into vibrant works of art featuring native flowers, personalised designs and colourful patterns. The activity gave participants the opportunity to learn new skills and enjoy a relaxed social atmosphere.

The return of the Bunnings community program has been warmly welcomed by residents, with participants enjoying the chance to connect with others while creating something unique to take home.

Coolgardie Community Centre Recreation Staff said the monthly sessions provide more than just a creative outlet.

"These workshops are a wonderful opportunity for people to come together, learn new skills and build friendships. It's great to see so much enthusiasm from our community, and we're excited to have Bunnings back delivering regular activities at the Coolgardie Recreation Centre."

The partnership between the Coolgardie Community Recreation Centre and Bunnings continues to provide accessible, enjoyable and inclusive activities for residents of all ages. The monthly workshops are designed to encourage community connection while offering opportunities to learn practical and creative skills.

Residents can look forward to a variety of future Bunnings workshops throughout the year.
