The aquatic facilities may be closed at short notice due to:
- Inclement weather
- Maintenance
- Health & safety concerns
- Staff unavailability
The facility consists of:
- 50 metre, 6 lane outdoor pool with ramp access
- LTS (Learn to Swim Pool) – solar heated with water features
- Change rooms, showers, UAT change facilities
- General shaded grass areas and UAT BBQ’s
- Large pool inflatable available for hire
Please note: As part of the Shire’s COVID-19 Risk Management Plan, and in line with the WA Health and Royal Lifesaving Australia guidelines, the Kambalda Aquatic Facility has a 540 patrons capacity limit.
Rules for Portable Pools
There are many types of portable pools, ranging from small plastic or inflatable paddling pools, specifically designed for young children, to larger more solid inflatable pools or flexible sided pools with frames that can accommodate adults. Young children can drown in portable pools in a matter of seconds if left unsupervised. Any pool that is designed for swimming, wading and paddling that contains water more than 30cm deep, must be enclosed by an effective safety barrier that complies with the laws.
