You can report the following:
  • Animal complaints
  • Litter
  • Abandon vehicles
  • Ranger related issues
Reporting methods:

What Shire Rangers can assist with;

  • Dog, cat control, and animal management issues (excluding animal welfare).
  • Roaming livestock control on Shire-owned and controlled road verges and reserves.
  • Parking management on Shire-owned, controlled, and managed roads, verges, public access ways, and footpaths.
  • Litter and illegal dumping complaints.
  • Safety and security concerns at Shire-owned, controlled, and managed facilities, reserves, and parks.
  • Local fire hazards, bushfire break matters, permits to burn, and bushfire fuel load concerns within the Shire.
  • Verge compliance issues (e.g., storage of materials, obstructions, and damage).
  • Storage of vehicles in disrepair and vehicle wrecking.
  • Untidy properties with rubbish and disused materials.
  • Abandoned vehicles on Shire roads and thoroughfares (excluding private property).
  • Maintenance and repair issues at Shire facilities, roads, parks, and reserves (reported after hours and during working hours).
  • Off-road vehicle issues on Shire-owned and controlled facilities, reserves, and parkland areas (excluding hooning complaints).

What Shire Rangers cannot handle;

  • Security patrols or inspections of private properties or commercial sites.
  • Hooning complaints, including unlicensed scooters and motorbikes on roads and verges.
  • Reports of suspicious persons, vehicles, and disturbances on non-local government land, facilities, parks, or reserves.
  • Neighbor disputes of any kind.
  • Animal welfare issues (handled by the RSPCA).
  • Personal welfare or safety issues outside Shire-owned and controlled facilities.
  • Off-road vehicle issues on roads, verges, pathways, or private property.
  • Security or parking control issues on non-Shire-owned or managed land.
  • Any non-local government-controlled matter (requires WA Police or other state agency involvement).
