More than 30 local children gathered at the Kambalda Community Recreation Facility on Monday, 6 July to celebrate NAIDOC Week through a craft activity hosted by the Shire of Coolgardie.
A special thank you to Lulu from Bunnings, who led the session and guided children through a range of hands-on creative activities while sharing the significance of NAIDOC Week.
A highlight of the morning was a collaborative dot painting project, with each child contributing to a large turtle artwork that will be proudly displayed by the Shire.
The event provided an opportunity for young people to learn, create and connect with one another while celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.
