Despite the not-so-great weather, the Kambalda community came together at the Kambalda Community Recreation Facility for a wonderful R U OK? Day sausage sizzle.
It was fantastic to see community members stopping by to enjoy a cuppa, grab a sausage, have a chat and take the time to check in with one another. The event was a great opportunity to connect, share a laugh and learn more about the support services available in our community.
A big thank you to Centrecare and SMYL for joining us with their information stalls and helping connect community members with valuable local support.
A huge shout-out and thank you to MEEDAC, Debbie and her team for cooking the delicious sausage sizzle and helping with the event set-up. Thankyou to our Shire of Coolgardie Staff and Councillors also thankyou to St John Ambulance team for joining us.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who braved the weather and came along. It was a fantastic morning of connection, conversation and community spirit — a great reminder that a simple “R U OK?” can make a real difference.
