Today, the Coolgardie community came together at the Coolgardie Community Recreation Centre for the Big Blue Table event, celebrating Mental Health Month this October.

Father's Day in Coolgardie was a resounding success, filled with joy and enthusiasm, thanks to everyone’s participation. In a gesture of appreciation for Fathers and Father figures, the center hosted not one, but two special events that brought families together from all corners of Coolgardie.

During the school holidays, Ann selflessly volunteered her time to organise and lead a series of four sewing classes for people of all ages in the Coolgardie community.

This school holidays, local student Lillian Kent was offered the role of providing holiday leave coverage at the Coolgardie Resource Centre where she would gain experience in the front counter service and administration.

Throughout the month of May the team from the WA Country Health Service has visited the Coolgardie Rec Centre to run their food sensations program.

The WA Seniors Card program is one of the most generous of its kind in Australia, offering over 406,000 members access to a wide range of State Government concessions and rebates. The program also provides discounts from participating businesses across Western Australia, offering seniors the chance to save money on everyday expenses, entertainment, and leisure activities. 

This month as part of our 3C Morning Tea we spoke of the benefits of the WA Seniors Card and the Water Corporate Swap Your Showerhead Promotion.

The Coolgardie Resource Centre has partnered with Curtin University and their Curtin Tax Clinic “CTC”.

Christmas craft has started in Coolgardie Recreation Centre on Monday’s 1pm to 3pm. This week we made Christmas Bell Hangers. Next week we are making Christmas Angels and the following week Snow Man Pine Cones. Our classes are free with an afternoon tea.

On Sunday the 11th of April Corey from Coolgardie Gold Safaris in conjunction with the Coolgardie Community Resource Centre took a group on a Gold prospecting excursion at one of his lease blocks.

The Coolgardie Community Resource Centre’s new Trainee Sapphire Gair, has recently given the CRC library a new face lift with re-organising all of the books into their very own categories!

The kids in Coolgardie are never bored on Wednesday afternoons! The Centrecare Youth team comes to Coolgardie every Wednesday after school during the school term with different and fun activities for the kids to participate in. These activities change weekly and can be anything from Slime making to Sports.

Every fortnight, the Coolgardie CRC joins forces with Beverly Packs from Parenting Connection WA to deliver a new and exciting program! One of the favourites amongst our Toddlers is the Sensory Based play.

The Coolgardie Community Resource Centre hosted a Candle Making Workshop with Tania Higgins on Tuesday the 9th of March. The candle class was fully booked out with people from both Coolgardie and Kambalda attending.
