It’s been 3 months since Julie Davy, our new Warden Finnerty’s caretaker arrived from Perth to the historical Coolgardie residence, formally occupied by Warden John Michael Finnerty in the late 1800’s.

Throughout the month of May the team from the WA Country Health Service has visited the Coolgardie Rec Centre to run their food sensations program.

The WA Seniors Card program is one of the most generous of its kind in Australia, offering over 406,000 members access to a wide range of State Government concessions and rebates. The program also provides discounts from participating businesses across Western Australia, offering seniors the chance to save money on everyday expenses, entertainment, and leisure activities. 

This month as part of our 3C Morning Tea we spoke of the benefits of the WA Seniors Card and the Water Corporate Swap Your Showerhead Promotion.

The Coolgardie Resource Centre has partnered with Curtin University and their Curtin Tax Clinic “CTC”.

Today in the Coolgardie Play Group, we celebrated three birthdays and found out “What the Fluffy Bunny said to the Tiny Mouse” by P. Crumble and Chris Saunders.

Christmas craft has started in Coolgardie Recreation Centre on Monday’s 1pm to 3pm. This week we made Christmas Bell Hangers. Next week we are making Christmas Angels and the following week Snow Man Pine Cones. Our classes are free with an afternoon tea.

On Sunday the 11th of April Corey from Coolgardie Gold Safaris in conjunction with the Coolgardie Community Resource Centre took a group on a Gold prospecting excursion at one of his lease blocks.

The Coolgardie Community Resource Centre’s new Trainee Sapphire Gair, has recently given the CRC library a new face lift with re-organising all of the books into their very own categories!
