Some practical and welcome works were recently completed in both Coolgardie and Kambalda, thanks to the efforts of the local Waste crew.
On Thursday 26 June, dirt collected from recent drainage maintenance along Bluebush Road in Kambalda West was put to good use. Instead of being discarded, the material was transported to the Kambalda Waste Transfer Station to be used as cover—an efficient outcome made possible through a shift in the team’s work schedule following changes at the Coolgardie Waste Facility.
The following day, Friday 27 June, the team turned their attention to a damaged section of footpath on Shaw Street in Coolgardie. The repair addressed a known trip hazard and has made the area much safer for pedestrians.
