First and foremost, we are delighted to welcome two new doctors to the Kambalda community. Their arrival signifies an important milestone in our commitment to improving healthcare access for all residents. In an effort to encourage recreational activities and foster a sense of community spirit, the Shire of Coolgardie is pleased to announce that pool entry will be completely free for all residents. We believe that providing accessible and affordable leisure opportunities is crucial for the physical and mental well-being of our community members, especially during the warm summer months.
Furthermore, we recognize the importance of environmental sustainability and responsible waste management. To support these values, we are introducing a free household waste disposal program. This initiative will not only promote a cleaner and healthier environment but will also alleviate the financial burden associated with waste management for our residents.
The Shire of Coolgardie remains committed to supporting our valued youth and seniors. In a demonstration of our dedication, there will be no rise in fees for our youth and senior programs. By keeping these fees unchanged, we aim to make these important services more accessible and affordable for those who greatly benefit from them.

We are pleased to announce that the rate rise for the Shire of Coolgardie in the upcoming year will be limited to on average just 1.9%. We understand the financial pressures faced by our residents and have endeavoured to keep the increase below the average compared to other Shires. This responsible fiscal management ensures that essential services are maintained while minimizing the impact on the community's cost of living.
