The Kambalda Community Resource Centre hosted another well attended bi-annual Welcome to Town Morning Tea on Wednesday 21 July 2021 at the Kambalda Community Recreation Facility.

The purpose of the Welcome to Town Morning Tea is to warmly welcome new and returning residents to town and to showcase the Kambalda Community Recreation Facility along with the Community Resource Centre.

The event has always been kindly supported by our humble locals. Always making it their goal to be present to support and welcome newcomers to town. With four new families attending they did exactly that.

Shire of Coolgardie President Malcolm Cullen welcomed everyone to the morning event and spoke about how it has become increasingly apparent in the Goldfields region of the critical shortage of housing and accommodation to cater for the requirements of the growing mining industry as well as the increasing amount of people from all over Australia looking to relocate to our region.

A Welcome to Town Pack comprising of the local Information Directory, ‘What’s On’ calendars for both sports and community events, local schools information, One Tree Daycare enrolment forms and merchandise kindly provided by the Shire of Coolgardie Economic Development Department.

With so many stories shared among each other a big thank you goes to all who attended including representatives from many groups, clubs, committees in our town, who had contributed to making this event the success it was.
