On June 2, 2023, the Coolgardie Resource Centre provided an unforgettable dinosaur experience for children, immersing them in a thrilling journey into the world of dinosaurs during a special event celebrating International Dinosaur Day. The event, specifically designed to engage young minds, featured a variety of hands-on activities that left a lasting impression on all attendees.

The highly anticipated volcano demonstration had the children on the edge of their seats, as they witnessed the power and might of an erupting volcano, bidding farewell to their dinosaur friends. Excitement filled the air as the young palaeontologists embarked on a dinosaur dig, unearthing ancient fossils and artifacts that brought the past to life before their very eyes.

One of the highlights of the event was the opportunity for the children to unleash their creativity by crafting their own 3D dinosaurs. Meticulously colouring and assembling the models, the young participants experienced a sense of accomplishment as their prehistoric creations came to life in three dimensions.

The Coolgardie Resource Centre's International Dinosaur Day event received resounding enthusiasm and positive feedback from both children and parents alike. The carefully curated combination of creativity, education, and entertainment captured the imaginations of the young attendees, fostering a love for learning and an appreciation for the wonders of the prehistoric world.

International Dinosaur Day, celebrated annually on June 1, provided the perfect backdrop for the Coolgardie Resource Centre to ignite curiosity and inspire young minds. The event left a lasting impression, as children not only had a blast engaging in crafts and activities but also gained a wealth of knowledge about these incredible creatures that once roamed the Earth.

Looking ahead, the Coolgardie Resource Centre eagerly anticipates organising more enriching events that continue to inspire and engage the community's young learners. Stay up-to-date on upcoming events and subscribe here to receive notifications straight to your inbox.
