Proposed Temporary Road Closure - Jaurdi Hills

Notice is hereby given that in accordance with Section 3.50 (1a) of the Local Government Act 1995, the Shire of Coolgardie has received an application from Beacon Mining for expansion of the temporarily closure of partial section of Jaurdi Hills Road being SLK 21.26 to SLK 48.21 (26.95 km in length).
Beacon Mining is seeking the temporary partial road closure for a period of 24 months to operate higher capacity road trains with a gross mass of up to 100 tonnes on the road for its proposed mining operations.
The following users are proposed to be exempt from the proposed temporary closure for which they may use this section of Jaurdi Hills Road during its closure period:-
- Beacon Mining employees and contractors
- Permit holders for permits that may be issued by the Shire of Coolgardie
Any person wishing to make comments on the proposed temporary closure may do so in writing addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, PO Box 138, Kambalda WA 6442, or email mail@coolgardie.wa.gov.au by 4pm on Monday 18th August 2025.
