This International Doughnut Day, a delicious combination of sugary treats and heartfelt generosity came together in the most wonderful way. The smell of freshly baked doughnuts filled the air at a local morning tea event, where participants not only indulged in their favourite sweet delights but also supported a worthy cause.
The event saw 25 attendees gather to enjoy the indulgence of doughnuts, all while supporting Australia's Biggest Morning Tea for the Cancer Council. Each donation to the event’s jar earned participants a chance to win a beautifully crafted quilt, kindly donated by the talented Irene Duke.
A huge congratulations to Jamie for winning the lovely quilt. Jamie is giving the quilt to her only daughter who has just gotten her own “big girl room”
In just 30 minutes, the gathering raised a remarkable $180.50, all of which will go directly to the Cancer Council to help fund vital cancer research and support services.
The morning tea wasn’t just about enjoying doughnuts—it was a reminder of how small acts of kindness and community spirit can make a big difference in the fight against cancer.
