On Thursday 29 July 2021 the Kambalda Community Resource Centre partnered with the Shire of Coolgardie Ranger Services to bring the Ranger Information Evening to the Kambalda community.

It was a great evening to receive the one on one attention from both Rangers, Geoff Copley and Kevin Caldwell (aka Wombat) bringing along with them for the evening a very informative power point on general information on dogs and cats, the age both dogs and cats have to be microchipped at, restricted breeds, dogs must be on a lead in a public place and local laws govern the number of dogs you keep at your property. A very clear outline was given on dog and cat ownership and management also.

Discussions were had on nuisance dogs, animal welfare, what is animal cruelty? and reporting animal cruelty along with other topics such as unsightly and disused materials and rules on firewood collection.

Thank you to our Rangers, Geoff, and Wombat and to those who came along on the evening.

Our lucky door prize winner for the evening went to Kama O’Donnell – congratulations Kama we hope your furbabies enjoy the special treats along with the wonderful Animal First Aid kit kindly donated by the Shire of Coolgardie Ranger Services.
