The Shire of Coolgardie celebrated the invaluable contributions of its dedicated Coolgardie volunteers at a special event held on May 17th at the Coolgardie Community Recreation Centre. The "Change Makers Sundowner," organised as part of "Thank a Volunteer Week," aimed to express gratitude towards our Coolgardie volunteers for their unwavering commitment and compassion in serving the Coolgardie community.
The event began with heartfelt speeches that acknowledged the significant role volunteers play in fostering a strong and vibrant community and the speeches concluded with a special moment where a volunteer was presented with a 5-year service award, recognising their long-term dedication and selflessness.
"Thank a Volunteer Week" may have come to an end for this year, but our volunteers wish to remind all community members that anyone can become a 'change maker’ and volunteer groups in Coolgardie warmly welcome new members, and every contribution, no matter how big or small, is greatly appreciated.
Remember, anyone can make a difference, and your involvement, no matter how small, can create a positive impact on the lives of others.
