On Friday, March 6th, the Kambalda Community Recreational Facility hosted a heartfelt celebration for International Women’s Day, bringing together the women of our community and the men who support them. The event was a wonderful testament to the strength, courage, and resilience of women in our region, and it showcased the deep sense of community that thrives in these towns.
The morning kicked off with warm greetings from our Place Managers, Natalie Patten and Sheree Forward, who introduced the day’s events. Guests were treated to inspiring speeches from local heroines Meghan Kent, Carly Agot, and Karlee Terenciuk. These brave women shared their personal stories, providing valuable insights into their lives and the unique challenges they have overcome.
After the speeches, attendees were invited to enjoy a delightful High Tea, generously sponsored by Westgold. The event was a perfect blend of community spirit and camaraderie, offering an opportunity for everyone to connect and celebrate the achievements of women.
The Shire would like to thank Stakeholders that came to support the event.
A special thanks goes out to the Shire of Coolgardie staff, whose hard work and dedication made this event possible. Their efforts truly made International Women’s Day for the Shire of Coolgardie a memorable and empowering experience for all.
This day was a reminder of the power of sharing stories and supporting one another, and it served as a beautiful tribute to the women who make our community stronger every day.
