I have lived in Kambalda East for five years and am proud to now serve as Shire President in my first term on Council. I was inspired to nominate because I believe in connecting community ideas with decision-makers and ensuring local voices play a genuine role in shaping our future.
My professional background includes over a decade in corporate and government roles focused on employee relations and human resources. I also spent a year in East Timor through the Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development program, supporting local capacity building. More recently, I’ve built my own small business working on mine sites across the region, allowing me to enjoy a more balanced, hands-on lifestyle.
I’m a practical and solutions-focused person who values clear communication and respectful engagement. My priorities are to strengthen governance, ensure transparency, and support sound financial recovery for the Shire while maintaining essential community services.
I love the feeling of being close to the bush and able to escape in almost any direction to explore. In my own small community of Kambalda East, I love that we have a peaceful, serene existence where people look out for each other but also give each other space to live peacefully.
Fun fact: I have a keen interest in motorcycles and enjoy spending time in my shed tinkering with my collection.
