On Friday 14 February a trial of the new Kambalda Waste Transfer Station was conducted. The transfer station will allow for better waste management at the existing landfill site in Kambalda, significantly reduce the Shire’s operating costs and support improved reduction of waste to landfill.
Commercial Manager, Rod Franklin, congratulated staff for their hard work in ensuring the transition to the new system was as seamless as possible.
“My sincere congratulations to the tip staff for successfully overseeing the first trial day. I look forward to continuing to refine our processes at the new facility, ultimately reducing the amount of waste going to landfill,” said Mr Franklin.
