We're pleased to share some news from Binneringie Road, where important infrastructure works have recently been completed.
After a culvert collapsed under the road—due to the impact of heavy vehicle use—it was clear an upgrade was needed. The culvert, which acts as a stormwater drain, plays a vital role in directing water away from this low-lying section of road and safely toward the nearby lake.
To resolve the issue, the old culvert was carefully removed and replaced with two new head pipes and a brand-new head wall. These upgrades will improve water flow and help prevent future washouts—making travel along Binneringie Road safer, especially during stormy weather.
