Playgroups are a great way for your kids 0-5 years to interact with other children in a fun and safe environment, while giving you the opportunity to interact with other parents.
Playgroup WA is funded by the National Indigenous Australians Agency under the Indigenous Advancement Strategy to facilitate supported playgroups for Aboriginal families in various communities broadly aimed at supporting families to give children a good start in life through improved early childhood development, care, education and school readiness.  The playgroups sit within the Department’s Children and Schooling Programme and incorporate the following project objectives: 
1.Increased participation in early childhood development activities 
2. Enhanced school readiness and families better engaged with school 
3. Families will be better able and more confident in supporting children’s development 
4. Employment and training opportunities for local people.

    We offer Art and Craft workshops, including pottery, painting, mosaics, photography and other. Thursday craft days, 12pm - 2.30pm for adults and continuing from 3 to 4.30pm for kids. (Except during school holidays). the Kambalda Arts Centre has a fine art gallery with local Goldfields art for sale as well as some beautiful locally made craft and souvenirs. We open each Saturday from 10am - 2pm and offer tours of the Centre featuring a pictorial history of Kambalda and nearby, not available anywhere else. In addition to this we have a wonderful herbarium, physically and digitally in a slide show and tours are welcome to visitors. Groups wanting to visit may do so by email, facebook or by visiting our web site.
