I’ve lived in the Shire of Coolgardie for seven years and have proudly served on Council for the past two. I put my hand up for this role because I wanted our community to have a strong voice at the Council table and to contribute to the growth and future of our towns.
My background is broad and hands-on. I qualified as a chef at 19, later completed a plastering apprenticeship, and have owned pubs, nightclubs and a motel. For the past 12 years, I’ve also run gold prospecting tours. With more than 25 years of business experience, I bring practical knowledge to a wide range of issues that come before Council.
I’m involved locally with the RSL and support the Coolgardie Community Bus. As a Councillor, my priorities are clear — securing a doctor based in Coolgardie and delivering a new swimming pool for our community. I’d also love to see the Shire become debt-free and improve local footpaths.
I enjoy living in a small, supportive community where people step in to help one another. The resilience and character of the Goldfields — and the people who call it home — make this a special place.
Fun fact: My favourite hobbies are gold prospecting and fishing.
