Waste Management
Council is committed to providing domestic waste management services to residents on a weekly basis. Rubbish should be placed in an acceptable receptacle and aligned kerbside on the day of collection by 6am

CHRISTMAS RUBBISH COLLECTION 2020: Friday 25 December 2020 collection will occur on Saturday 26 December.
NEW YEARS COLLECTION 2021: Friday 1 January 2021 collection will remain the same.
Please be aware that bins placed incorrectly or overfilled will not be emptied. Heavy materials such as bricks or concrete and hot ashes must not be placed in these bins. Should your bin be damaged contact the Shire Office for a replacement.

Hard refuse should be placed neatly on the verge as close as possible to the kerb and your driveway.
The following items will be collected from your verge;
- White Goods - Stoves, refrigerators (doors to be removed), washing machines etc.
- Trampolines/Swing Sets must be dismantled
- Scrap Metal
- Old Furniture
- General Rubblish
The white goods and scrap metal should be placed on the verge in a pile separate to the other hard refuse as this will be collected separately and recycled. All items of hard refuse will be collected by hand. A maximum weight will apply and as a general rule, two (2) people should be able to lift the item easily to shoulder height with the item being no longer than 4 metres.
Please note this service is available in townsites only. It is important that residents pay close attention to the requirements of the roadside collections. All waste is to be placed in a pile neatly on the verge no earlier than one (1) week prior to the advertised collection week.
- All waste must be placed on the verge by 6.00am on the advertised starting date as the truck will only travel down your street once.
- All waste is to be placed on the verge without obstructing footpaths or line of sight particularly adjacent to road intersections.
- Waste will not be collected from Vacant Properties, Public Land or Land outside townsite boundaries.

- Asbestos
- Bricks
- Batteries
- Cement
- Motor Vehicles
- Tyres
- Car Parts
- Pesticides
- Food / Household Waste
