Executive Manager Community Development and Regulatory Services
Short- Term Contract (3 months)
The Shire of Coolgardie is seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to step into the role of Executive Manager – Community Development & Regulatory Services on a short-term, three-month contract.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a vibrant regional community, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight across a diverse portfolio including community services, environmental health, ranger services, and regulatory compliance.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will:
- Provide high-level leadership and direction to the Community Development and Regulatory Services teams
- Ensure effective delivery of community services, health services, and regulatory functions
- Oversee compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and local laws
- Support strategic planning and contribute to organisational objectives
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including community groups and government agencies
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Proven leadership experience in local government or a similar regulatory/community services environment
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including environmental health and compliance frameworks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- The ability to quickly adapt, assess priorities, and deliver outcomes in a short-term contract environment
- A current driver’s licence (essential)
