Meals On Wheels

The Shire of Coolgardie recognises that our senior community members may require additional support. Their unique Meals on Wheels service is independently run through the Shire, to enable fresh meals delivered to our vulnerable community.

The Meals on Wheels service provides a nutritious meal delivered to your door by a volunteer or Shire Officer twice a week.  

Eligibility

The following eligibility criteria must be met:

• Age 70 years or older
• Live in the Shire of Coolgardie (Kambalda and Coolgardie only due to food safety restrictions)
• Have no dietary requirements. Unfortunately we are unable to cater for different dietary needs at this time.

Referrals

You can self-refer or alternatively referrals can be received from relatives, friends, carers or neighbours with the clients permission. 

For community members who dont meet this criteria, your local Dr can refer by contacting the Shire directly.
