On Tuesday 13th October the Kambalda Community Resource Centre hosted a PINK Ribbon Breakfast as part of Breast Cancer awareness month to help raise funds to support people with Breast Cancer.

The function room was PINKED to the max, with a finishing touch of a glorious pink balloons garland. The room looked amazing and the food, which consisted of both continental and cooked breakfast was delicious. Thank you to Lyn Piggott and family for your kind donation of sausages for the breakfast.

There were $2.00 lucky dips and a $5.00 raffle running through the morning. Congratulations to our raffle winner Mrs S Stancik and to all the other winners on the day.

Our special guest speaker, Rachel Jolly, CancerWA representative spoke about the importance to be aware and check your breasts regularly and said if you notice any changes, speak to your doctor.

Breast Cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia and the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women.

Early detection is key and can increase your chances of survival.

$404.00 was raised and will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the PINK Ribbon breakfast, your continued support is appreciated.
