On Tuesday 29th September a very successful Grant Workshop for the community was held at the Kambalda Community Recreation Facility, hosted by Ali Kent, Director of Compass Project Consultancy, Kalgoorlie.
It was great to see so many community members join the Grant Workshop ranging from sporting and art groups, to music and craft, community groups and small business.
The workshop gave grant writing advice and direction on planning your project, reading guidelines, writing grant applications and how to find available grant funding for businesses and community groups.
At the close of the evening everyone was given handouts to take with them. If you were unable to attend on the night, the handouts are available on request at the Kambalda Community Resource Centre.
Thank you to everyone who supported this event and the positive feedback was also appreciated. One participant was quoted saying “I learnt how to focus on my project and how it will help me prepare better to write grants.”
