Playgrounds to become more inclusive in the Shire of Coolgardie!
Speech is difficult for some children. A communication board is a device that displays photos, symbols, or illustrations to help people with limited language skills express themselves. The user can gesture, point to, or blink at images to communicate with others. It can also be used to model to the child how to make choices and how to develop their language further.
The Shire invites you to the unveiling of our very first Communication Board at Kambalda East Nature Playground.
Ali Kent MP will do the honours of unveiling the new communication tool.
