The Jon Holland Way

The John Holland Way covers some 600 kilometres of Australian outback scenery. Connecting the regional townsites between Broomehill and Coolgardie the John Holland Way encompasses a variety of interesting farming, pastoral, mining and native bush landscapes.

Start from historic Coolgardie on your round-trip journey through gold rush history to Laverton, returning to Kalgoorlie-Boulder. Salmon and gimlet gums give way to the open Mulga scrub of the North as you discover Ora Banda, Menzies, Kookynie, Leonora and Gwalia.

See the natural beauty of Goongarrie National Park, Granite Creek, Ularring Soak and Rowles Lagoon Conservation Park as well as the ghostly remains of abandoned mining towns.

The Golden Pipeline Heritage Trail

The Golden Pipeline

Celebrating over 100 Years of water supply to the Goldfields, the Trail follows the 560km precious water-giving pipeline from Mundaring Weir in the Perth foothills to the Easern Goldfields of Coolgardie and Kalgoorlie.

Completed in 1903, it was an incredible feat of engineering even by present day standards. The trail tells the story of its construction and the fascinating history of the towns it passes through.
